IDECOLI

The purpose is to identify which are the most demanded professional linguistic competences by the companies and to describe these based upon linguistic descriptors according to the ability levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in the so-called IDECOLI Tables.

The identified professional linguistic competences make the base of the methodology and applications proposed by Lingua Empresa.

Characteristics

The IDECOLI project is developed in three phases.

First Investigation Phase
Practical analysis of the language use in the job market to identify the sectors and occupations in which the use of foreign languages is pivotal and to identify the most demanded professional linguistic competences.

Second Methodology Phase
Design of an identification and analysis methodology of linguistic competence based upon the CEFR and upon the National System of Professional Qualifications.

Third Pase
Creation of the IDECOLI Tables with linguistic descriptors of the professional linguistic competences which serve as a basis for the selection of the resources, diagnose of needs, etc.; a reference for the planning of the training.
